Canada's Biomanufacturing and Life Sciences Strategy
Government of Canada | 2021
As we look to a post pandemic future for Canada, it is important to continue establishing Canada’s competitive position on the global stage. That’s why the Government of Canada has developed a comprehensive strategy to re-build a strong and resilient domestic biomanufacturing and life sciences sector. The strategy has been developed in consultation with industry and scientific experts, academia and the public, and informed by the COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force and the COVID-19 Therapeutics Task Force.
The Strategy is made up of five pillars:
- Strong and Coordinated Governance
- Laying a Solid Foundation by Strengthening Research Systems and the Talent Pipeline
- Growing Businesses by Doubling Down on Existing and Emerging Areas of Strength
- Building Public Capacity
- Enabling Innovation by Ensuring World Class Regulation
