The Government of Canada provided a $10 million investment to support the creation of five multidisciplinary research hubs that will strengthen Canada’s biomanufacturing and life sciences sector while protecting Canadians against future health threats.
The investment, made through Stage 1 of the integrated Canada Biomedical Research Fund (CBRF) and Biosciences Research Infrastructure Fund (BRIF) competition, will enhance collaborations among academic institutions, industry, public, not-for-profit sectors as well as community organizations to jointly accelerate innovative research and talent development to bolster Canada's pandemic readiness and biomanufacturing capacity.
